It’s officially official: Westlake is getting our flagship Lowe’s store! Literally across the street. Imagine the projects…
Landowner Minto Communities USA has sold 10.64 acres to North Carolina-based Lowe’s Home Centers, LLC. Closing happened January 29th. (For reference, Minto sold Publix 20 acres.)
Lowe’s is going in at “Town Center West”, at the intersection of Seminole Pratt Whitney and Town Center Parkway North. It was guesstimated at the August 2025 City Council meeting that opening would happen toward the end of 2026. Get your applications ready!
Westlake’s Lowe’s will include a 107,547-square-foot indoor big-box store and a 26,601-square-foot outdoor garden center, for a total 134,148 square feet. This Lowe’s will add about 150 jobs and, it’s special because it will be the home of the Lowe’s District Manager from the Palm Beaches to Titusville.

Minto Senior Vice President John Carter: “This is a major win for Westlake and a clear reflection of the city’s strong growth trajectory and long-term potential.”… “Lowe’s is a highly respected national brand, and their decision to establish a presence here exemplifies the strength of our community. This investment will serve residents, create jobs and further accelerate commercial momentum throughout the area.”
I agree Mr. Carter!
“As Westlake reaches critical mass, the market is responding,” said Carter. “National brands and commercial developers recognize the opportunity here, and our strategic planning allows us to be selective while still welcoming businesses that add real value for our residents.”
