1) EDUCATION ADVISORY BOARD (EAB) got two new members this week, so this board is full!
Board Chair – Dr. Anita Kaplan
Vice Chair – Krystal Lexima, board liaison to Western Pines Middle School
Regular Member – Jennifer Christian-Upia, board liaison to future elementary school 23-H
Regular Member – Chad Lovitt, board liaison to Seminole Ridge High School
Regular Member – Shelley Murray (NEW), board liaison to Golden Grove Elementary
Alternate Member – Diana Riviera (NEW)

2) FUTURE HIGH SCHOOL (code named 16-AAA by the county school district) is expected to open for the western communities August 2031. This new high school will accommodate projected student growth by large-scale communities like Arden, Avenir, and, us, Westlake!
3) PBCSD BOARD MEMBER MARCIA ANDREWS is retiring November 16th! She has a real power house for these district communities for four terms (16 years)! John McGovern, newly elected, will take her place. And let me tell you, he’s at all the meetings and has already been doing this job for quite a while. I imagine a very seamless hand off.
