FourthFest – Year 5! Year 10! Year 250!

That is: FourthFest’s fifth year, Westlake’s tenth year, and these great United States of America’s 250th year! A LOT to celebrate!

FourthFest is FREE (parking, too!) and open to the PUBLIC. This year it’s hosted at a new location, the future City/SID park at the northwest corner of Seminole Pratt Whitney and Sycamore on Saturday the 4th of July itself starting at 5PM and ending with fireworks at 9PM.

The City says this new location offers improved accessibility, easier traffic flow, and expanded parking for attendees. Seminole Improvement District (SID) says it’s got grass and, importantly, drainage, which the old location did not have.

Guests can expect a dynamic mix of attractions designed for all ages, including live music performances, a wide selection of food trucks, and a vibrant vendor marketplace. This year also introduces the Food Village — a new addition featuring local vendors serving up specialty foods and treats in a relaxed, open-air setting. Among the featured attractions will be face painting; a 30-foot rock-climbing wall; toddler-friendly play areas and themed inflatables; and carnival-style games and hands-on activities.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the festivities. For safety reasons, coolers, BBQ grills, personal fireworks, and cooking appliances are not permitted.

“FourthFest continues to be one of our community’s most anticipated traditions,” said Mayor JP O’Connor. “As we celebrate 10 years of Westlake and our nation’s 250th birthday, we’re excited to introduce a new location that allows this event to grow and welcome even more families for a safe, festive, and memorable evening.”
