Press Conference Opposing Project Tango – Monday April 6th
-PBC CTA Press Release March 30, 2026

Concerned parents, educators, community leaders, and citizens will hold a press conference on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 3:30 PM near Saddle View Elementary School to raise awareness and voice strong opposition to the proposed hyperscale AI data center known as Project Tango.

“This is about protecting our schools, the children who learn in them, and their families and neighborhoods,” said Gordan Longhofer, President of the Palm Beach County Classroom Teachers Association. “We must ensure that decisions on facilities of this type prioritize the health, safety, and educational environment of our students above all else.”

The event will bring together stakeholders to highlight serious concerns about the project’s potential negative impacts on student learning, neighborhood safety, environmental quality, and overall community well-being.

Organizers aim to inform the public, engage media attention, and urge local decision-makers to reject Project Tango due to its scope and location near schools, the students who learn in them, and their neighborhoods.

“We simply do not know enough about Project Tango’s potential negative impacts to approve its construction at this time!” said Longhofer.

Members of the media are encouraged to attend.   We will be available for questions immediately following the press conference.
