City of Westlake Opens Registration for the 3rd Annual Westlake 5K Remembering 9/11

Community Race Honors Those Lost on September 11 with a Morning of Fitness, Reflection, and Unity

The City of Westlake announced that registration is open for the 3rd Annual Westlake 5K Remembering 9/11, presented in support of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, set for Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the greenspace located just north of the corner of Persimmon Blvd and Ilex Way. The race begins promptly at 7:30 a.m.

Now in its third year, the Westlake 5K Remembering 9/11 brings residents and participants together not just for a physical challenge, but for a meaningful morning of remembrance, as the community honors those lost on September 11, 2001. The event welcomes runners, walkers, and residents of every pace and ability.

The City of Westlake is proud to be a supporter of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a national organization dedicated to honoring America’s fallen military heroes and first responders and supporting their families.

Every registered participant will receive a race bib equipped with an RFID timing chip for accurate results, an official event shirt, and a finisher medal. Awards will be presented to the top three overall finishers as well as winners across various age groups.
